AAAA Conference 23/25 March 2012 - The Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia will be holding their annual conference in Cowra from the 23-25 March 2012.

The Canowindra Balloon Challenge – 14 April – 22 April 2012 - Les Purfield our 2011 director has accepted our invitation to direct the event again which gives us great continuity. The Australian Ballooning Federation (ABF) have sanctioned the event also. Although not a National Championship it will be run along the same competition guidelines and rules as 2011 with scoring for an overall winner at the end of the week for The Canowindra Cup. It will be an observer event. There will also be a key grab on the final Saturday for a major prize, details to be announced shortly.

Night Rugby match Canowindra Pythons versus xxxxxx
This is at the Sports Ovals
Sunday 15th from 9am Vintage tractor pull and antique engines display at Showground
Monday 16th is the 100 Mile Dinner in Gaskill Street
Dinner with Friends upstairs on the verandah at The Old Vic
Midweek TBA Fashion Parade by CWA……hopefully wedding dresses etc
Entertainment at the pubs and clubs
Saturday 21st from 6.30am A fly in “Key Grab” for a major prize and Monster markets at the Sports Ovals. Further inforamtion: (02) 63 44 1819.
Cowra is only 30mins from Canowindra, making it a perfect accommodation choice – Apartments available.
Vintage Caravan Nationals AGM 30 April – 5 May 2012. There will be approx 90 caravans (no older than 1970). Further details to be advised.

- Neila Restaurant – Neila is an elegant informal restaurant priding themselves on consistency. They have maintained a 1 hat status in the SMH Good Food Guide and have been included in The Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide since 2003. Well worth a visit!.
- Throw a line in, go fishing or boating at Wyangala Waters State Park (the junction of the Lachlan and Abercrombie Rivers)…………….just to name a few.
